  • Affordable and convenient for all the newcomers who are new to the city and aren’t aware of the right places to buy basic stuff from.
  • Priceless yet survival kits like music, books, novels, television, garden area, etc.

We underwent our research by talking to various people who are living in a hostel and the problems they face:

  • While getting onboarded (Problems from the very start)

  • While staying in that particular hostel(Problems that were getting generated via time)

  • Problems related to basic necessities(lack of good food, etc)

  • Problems people face when they are shifted to new cities(language barrier, best spots in town, lack of information, friends)

  • Problems in keeping their hobbies, and extracurricular activities intact

Empathy
Interview

Through empathy interviews with potential users, we identified one distinct user persona for the Rliving app: young professionals and students seeking affordable and comfortable co-living spaces while connecting with like-minded individuals, and property owners seeking a hassle-free way to manage their co-living spaces and engage with their tenants. These insights helped guide the design and development of the app to ensure it meets the needs of both user groups.

Client wanted the brand to be subtle yet classy and which gives clear differentiation of good/bad, right/wrong, day/night etc. He needed something which has a firm answer that is either yes or no (nothing in between/nothing hidden meaning fully transparent which is the backbone of his firm). Keeping all this in mind and thinking of client wish plus connecting the dots with the customers we came up with the astonishing yet very simple and attractive design.

Based on the established points, We sketched multiple options to test and see how by initiating minimal changes to optimize the user experience. During the process, we continued referring to the target audience, company mission, revenue model, and our goal to focus on how to improve the user experience. After a few rounds of iterations, we came to a good place with the solutions.
